07 GRAND PRIX RESULTS and INFO

CRUMP WORLD #3 /October13th 2007

In what was billed as the Richest Minute in Motorsport, the final round of the 2007 Speedway World Championship had a prize purse of USD$100,000.00 on offer to the winner on the night, so naturally the racing was fast and furious throughout the evening.
Eventual and surprise winner was Sweden’s Andreas Jonsson ahead of veteran American Greg Hancock and Australia’s Jason Crump finished a creditable third.
Crump, disappointed not to win the grand prize, did have reason to celebrate as his solid performance on the night well and truly secured his bronze medal in the 2007 Championship after a difficult and hard year.
With early season mechanical gremlins and then several injuries including a broken knee cap to contend with, Crump’s result can only reflect how strong and determined he really is.
“It has been a pretty hard year for me this year, so to finish as World number 3 is satisfying even though it is my worst result in the last seven years.” said Crump. “I need to take some time out away from racing once the season is over so I can refresh and decide what I want to do next."
“A huge thank you to all my valued sponsors, my team, my family and my fans for your loyal and continued support. Without you none of this would be possible.”
